SCHOOLS OF SANCTUARY MINI CONFERENCE
WEDNESDAY 20TH OCTOBER 10.30-12.00

The Schools of Sanctuary National Steering Group invite you to join us on zoom for a mini conference on Wednesday 20th October.

This conference is for schools committed to becoming Schools of Sanctuary and embedding the principles of Welcome and Inclusion into the life of their whole school community.

The conference will include:
• The pathway to becoming a School of Sanctuary
• Testimonies and examples from established Schools of Sanctuary
• Celebrating diversity and multi-culturalism in our schools
• Ways of including sanctuary in the curriculum (examples from primary and secondary schools)
• Considerations for welcoming new families from Afghanistan and other conflict regions
• Overcoming barriers to 3rd level education
• Opportunities to meet and explore commonalities with other schools
Numbers at this conference are limited and we will be restricting attendance to those schools that are seriously committed to becoming Schools of Sanctuary. Please register your interest with us as soon as possible indicating how many from your school would like to attend.
